Engineering
Engineering work is the responsibility of the Technical Services Division of the Public Works Department and encompasses all capital/construction projects related to roads and bridges, including:
- Engineering and design of County roads
- Surveying
- Construction layout
- Contract administration
- Traffic counts
- Traffic signals
- Traffic studies
- Utility coordination and
- Entrance and sign permits
Technical Services prepares a 5-Year Capital Forecast on an annual basis for presentation to County Council. The report lists all planned capital/construction projects including anticipated expenditures for major reconstruction, resurfacing and structure projects within the County of Peterborough for the coming 5 years.
