Composting
Composting turns garbage into dirt! Residents are encouraged to make their own free garden earth right in their backyard or take food scraps to depots that have an organics program.
Backyard Compost
Kitchen catchers and composters are available for County residents to purchase at the Public Works office (310 Armour Road, Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:30pm). Please call ahead to confirm price and availability.
Organics/Depot Drop-Off Program
Organics Collections (curbside and depot) are available throughout the County. Please click on "Organics Collection Locations" below to see what is available in your area.
Leaf and yard waste is also compostable, check with your Township for available programs.
