The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO is the senior administrator for the County of Peterborough, charged with:
- General control and management of the affairs of the municipality
- Leadership of the Senior Management Team
- Directing the human, financial and physical resources of the municipality
- Ensuring that Council’s directives are carried out.
Representing the municipality, as a key contributor for matters involving the Province, the Eastern Ontario Wardens' Caucus (EOWC) and other municipalities, is an important function of this office.
